The McLaren 720S
The McLaren 720S is a vehicle not to be missed. The contours and overall design are distinctly McLaren, yet the details are boldly different. The designers took inspiration from the Great White Shark, a beautifully sleek yet brutally efficient hunting machine. The smooth flow of the exterior lines manipulates onrushing air to reduce drag and cool the engine. The engine of the 720S is a new and fearsomely powerful M840T engine with a maximum speed of 212mph. Press the start button, and the twin-turbo V8 comes alive with a potent growl that ignites your senses and focuses your mind.
The majestic opening of the doors is one of the most alluring design features of the 720S. Like a geometric work of art, the twin-hinged dihedral doors sweep forwards and up, to make entering and exiting effortless and elegant. The luxurious experience of traveling in the McLaren 720S is striking in every aspect of the motorcar world.

McLaren had an impressive 2016, and the brand’s iconic 570 received five impressive accolades over the past year. The 570S Coupé has been named ‘Best Performance Car’ in the 2016 UK Car of the Year Awards (UKCotY). Since launch, the first model in the Sports Series has received wide-spread praise and won accolades from media the world over. This prestigious award was judged by an independent judging panel of 27 leading UK media and is a significant milestone for the 570S Coupé. The Sports Series will play a key role in increasing global sales during 2016.
On selecting the 570S Coupé as the Best Performance Car of 2016, freelance journalist and UKCotY jury member Richard Bremner commented, “The 570S is McLaren’s best car yet – a sensational blend of all that you want from a supercar, including a drivetrain that’s not overpowered. Easier to live with than many of its rivals, too.’ Fellow juror Simon McBride added: ‘This may be a niche car when it comes to UK sales but that is not the point. The McLaren a masterpiece, it has serious road presence while its head-turning ability is undoubted. This is what makes Britain great – it is an engineering triumph.”
In September, the McLaren 570S Coupé was named Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car for 2016, beating 12 competitors during vigorous testing over the leading US media brand’s Best Driver’s Car Week. This is the 10th major award that the car has received, and from titles across the world.
Motor Trend’s esteemed staff of editors and writers each had a chance to test the 570S and Editor-in-Chief Ed Loh commented, “The McLaren 570S stands out in this year’s crowd of high-horsepower overachievers because it provides a preternatural connection between driver and machine. With massive thrust in a lightweight, mid-engine chassis that can be guided by the fingertips, the 570S is immensely addictive—and the perfect homage to McLaren’s Grand Prix pedigree.”
The vehicle also brought home Robb Report’s Best Sports Car Award, of which Robb Report writers said, “The 570S, the initial model in McLaren’s new entry-level Sports Series, may be the company’s version of a daily driver, but it still offers potent performance, and driving it fast is an addictive activity.” Red Dot awarded the model for its impeccable product design, and Business Insider listed the vehicle as the second runner up for the coveted Car of the Year title.

McLaren Automotive is creating a new Composites Technology Center, which will house the research, development and manufacturing of the Monocell and Monocage. The Carbon fiber chassis is now being called the “future of McLaren cars.” Using advanced automated manufacturing techniques, the next generation Monocell will be developed in conjunction with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
At the launch event at the AMRC in Sheffield, Mike Flewitt, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Automotive commented: “In 1981, McLaren was the first company to recognize the exceptional properties of carbon fiber, and we have designed the highly-technical material it to be at the heart of every McLaren road and racing car ever since. The now-iconic McLaren F1 was the world’s first road car to be built with a carbon fiber chassis and every car built more recently by McLaren Automotive has the same. Creating a facility where we can manufacture our own carbon fiber chassis structures is therefore a logical next step.”
The partnership between McLaren Automotive and the University of Sheffield’s AMRC creates the opportunity to expand and to provide more than 200 jobs through a combined investment. The benefits of the construction of this new facility are endless for both McLaren and the workforce!

Introducing The McLaren Super Series
Ringing in the New Year with a new era, McLaren is proud to announce that the official launch of their second generation Super Series will take place in March of this year. The Super Series is McLaren Automotive’s first-ever replacement of a product family and the first of the 15 new cars defined in the company’s Track22 Business Plan. What an accomplishment! “This is the first time we have replaced a product family and the new Super Series will be absolutely true to McLaren’s pioneering spirit in being a revolutionary leap forwards, both for our brand and the supercar segment,” explained McLaren Automotive CEO, Mike Flewitt. The new Super Series is created within an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber central structure. This gives the model the ability to weigh less than the carbon fiber and metal cockpit architecture of the first-generation Super Series. Full details of the new, second-generation Super Series will be confirmed in March of 2017.

McLaren Introduces New Extended Warranty
Originally introduced in 2014, McLarens’ Extended Warranty now extends even further. Since the number of McLaren vehicles on the road has increased over the past three years, the brand has upgraded their policy. The Extended Warranty is now available for the Sports and Super Series vehicles. The revamped policy comes with a new realm of benefits, such as unlimited mileage coverage, roadside assistance and the guaranteed use of McLaren Genuine Parts fitted by professionally trained McLaren technicians. To be eligible for the new Extended Warranty, your McLaren must have less than 100,000 miles, and you must have owned for a minimum of 90 days. Carl Whipp, Aftersales Director at McLaren Automotive said, “Owners want the reassurance that their car will still be looked after to the same standards with which it was built. And they want to continue to enjoy their McLaren without worry. Sometimes daily. It’s for them that we launched the Extended Warranty and now with this further enhancement to the coverage period, it will continue to give complete peace of mind … right up to the car’s 12th birthday.” McLaren owners will never have to worry about the performance of their vehicle.

Take a Peek at the McLaren 650S
McLaren has always had the ability to introduce elements of the race car into the creation of a road-worthy sports car. The 650s embodies the McLaren name impeccably. The interior was constructed to hug the driver, providing a comfortable ride with infotainment and navigation right at the driver’s fingertips. The style nods to the racing world, with an exciting steering wheel design and “race-bred” technology. Outside, it’s even more exhilarating—the dihedral doors and sleek design make it one of the hottest cars on the road. And the engine? Unparalleled. The 650s races from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 miles per hour. Here at indiGO Auto Group, we are thrilled to announce that McLaren’s latest accomplishment has been recognized by Motor Trend magazine. Motor Trend magazine is the largest car magazine in the world and circulates over 1 million copies. After working diligently year after year, the McLaren brand has won this year’s Best Drivers Car award and competition.
The coveted award is not an easy task as contestants come from all over the globe. This is the first time since 2011 that a brand in an elite market segment has been given the title of holding this award. The competition consisted of four countries and twelve sports cars, all being put through acceleration, braking, and handling tests in Fontana, California.
